How these are matched
Each country uses its own occupation classification — SOC in America, SOC2020 in Britain, NOC in Canada, ANZSCO in Australia, ISCO-08 at the ILO. Matching them mechanically produces nonsense, so this list is curated by hand: a country joins a comparison only when its classification contains a genuinely equivalent occupation. Where Australia publishes several narrow specialisms instead of one broad occupation, the page names the specific one used.
